2018/2019 Season

We are so excited for Season 4 !!! Classes will start the Week of September 10th, and run until June with a recital to showcase all of the dancers hard work.

Registration is now OPEN for all classes and will remain open until February, or until the class is full.

We are very proud that all of our Pre-School dance programs are taught using the TWINKLE STAR Syllabus program. These classes implement 4 pillars of success for our young dancers, and are the perfect introduction to dance which will give our dancers a great foundation in all styles of dance.

Tiny Tutu’s

Ages  18 months -3

This is a Mommy & Me class that is very energetic and fun-filled! Watch with amazement as your little dancer grows and learns new skills before your eyes. Through the use of rhymes, stories, music, and extensive dance related activities your child learns to listen to a leader, follow group instruction, and have fun! This class is a great introduction to the world of dance.

Broadway Babies

Ages  3-5

The Broadway Babies class is designed to be an introduction to dance. In this 45 minute class dancers will learn basic techniques from Tap, Ballet, and Jazz.  The class will focus on rhythm, body awareness, creative movement, numbers, colours, shapes and songs that help to develop their motor skills.  Young dancers will learn the basic steps while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement
in a positive environment. Engaging music is used to get these little guys inspired to dance. The use of props such as Twinkle bears and hula hoops, enables the young dancers to use their imagination, creativity and, most of all, have fun!

Showbiz Kidz

Ages 5-6

Showbiz Kidz classes are a progression from the ‘Broadway Babies’ class. Dancers continue to learn a variety of techniques,  but classes are narrowed to more specific styles so the dancers can pick which styles they would prefer to focus on. Dancers have the option to pick a 45 minute class of  Jazz & Acro, Tap & Ballet, or Hip-Hop & Tap. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the specific styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will learn the foundation steps and terminology in both styles of dance. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies. The use of
props such as hula hoops for the “freeze dance” makes the end of class the most fun!

Pre Junior

Ages  6-7

Pre Junior classes are 30 minute, single subject classes which offer an introduction into the specific dance style. Dancers in these classes will begin to expand their knowledge of dance, and focus on the techniques of the dance style.

Jazz

Jazz is one of the most popular forms of dance, and is also a great workout for children. In this class dancers will focus on ADAPT style techniques, using upbeat popular music. Dancers will work on flexibility, strengthening, and body alignment.

Lyrical/ Contemporary

Lyrical and Contemporary dance use techniques from ballet and jazz and blend them together to create a story. These classes will focus on emphasizing strength, control, and interpretation of music.

Tap

Tap dancing helps dancers to obtain agility, rhythm, coordination, and technique. Tap classes are based on ADAPT style techniques, skills and musicality.

Ballet

Cecchetti method Ballet. Beauty, flow and elegance are inherent in the elements of ballet. Ballet is a classic dance form that can be mastered by itself or used as a technical base. Classes will focus on overall body alignment and awareness with emphasis on posture, turnout, and confidence.

Hip-Hop

Hip-Hop is a fun and exciting class that incorporates a variety of hip-hop techniques from a variety of different hip-hop styles. Hip-hop classes teach co-ordination, strength, and rhythm through the use of age appropriate hip-hop music.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre combines dance, dramatic arts, and singing techniques to emphasize the importance of a quality performance. These classes are very energetic, and perfect for dancers who are looking to perform in musicals or get experience acting. The classes encourage creativity and allows students to create and perform original works.

Acrobatique AcroDance Program

Acro dance is an art form specifically for dancers. It incorporates acrobatic movements and joins them together with many different styles of dance. In acro, dancers are taught how to dance in and out of tricks and execute impressive skills that can be added into their dance routines.  This class will focus on the Acrobatique syllabus techniques, as well as strength and flexibility.

Please note: Dancers must be enrolled in a dance technique based class in order to take an Acro class.

Karate

Karate is great for all ages! It improves coordination, balance and is a fun way to get in shape. Isshinryu Karate focuses on being at peace with yourself and others, while still teaching the tools and techniques to defend yourself.

Our classes focus on teaching life skills and discipline.

Metafit

Body Barre Fitness

with Jenn Johns (Fox)

Body Barre Fitness one hour classes – is a comprehensive total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms, and burns fat in record-breaking time. The ballet barre is used for stability while working through pilates based exercises.

ZUMBA
